Accessory Building Feasibility Study

ADU Building Co. (hereafter referred to as ABCO) hereby agrees to complete the following work and present the results to the customer:

Site Evaluation: ABCO will visit the customer’s site and existing home to determine the feasibility of the proposed Accessory Building (hereafter called referred to as AB) and the challenges involved including siting, setbacks, access, utilities, tie-in with existing structure etc.

Preliminary Design: ABCO will complete preliminary floor plan(s) and two exterior elevations utilizing AutoCAD. These drawings will be presented to the customer with these drawings plotted on 8 1/2” x 11” format.

Preliminary Site Plan: ABCO will complete a preliminary site plan showing the existing structure, the proposed AB and other site improvements and utilities.

Preliminary Cost Analysis: ABCO will provide a preliminary project budget based on information provided by the customer and historical cost data of similar projects built by ABCO.

Pre-application Meeting: ABCO will meet with the building and planning department of the municipality where the AB is to be built. The preliminary site plan and preliminary building plans will be presented to the municipality official to access the feasibility of the project prior to the actual building permit application.

The cost of this service is Nine Hundred and Fifty Dollars ($950.00) payable upon executing this agreement. If the customer contracts with ABCO to build the AB, this fee will be credited against the total building cost as stated on the building agreement. If the customer chooses not to have ABCO build the AB all of the material outlined above will become the property of the customer.
